These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the LedgerLink Notary Services website and services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

LedgerLink Notary Services provides mobile notary, loan signing, document notarization, officiant, and fingerprinting services, as permitted by Alabama law.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to use our services.

• You must provide accurate, complete, and valid identification for notarization, fingerprinting, or officiant services.

3. Booking & Appointments

• Appointments may be scheduled via our website booking system, phone, or email.

• You are responsible for providing accurate information during booking.

• Cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee if not made within the required notice period.

4. Payments

• Payments may be made in cash, credit/debit card, or through approved online payment systems.

• All fees are due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

• Non-refundable travel, after-hours, witness, or specialty service fees (including officiant and fingerprinting) may apply.

5. Document Uploads

• Uploaded documents must be accurate, lawful, and free of viruses or malicious code.

• We are not responsible for errors in documents provided by clients.

• Documents are retained only as necessary for service delivery unless required by law.

6. Client Responsibilities

• Ensure all signers are present, competent, and provide valid identification.

• Understand that notaries cannot provide legal advice or draft legal documents.

• You are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of your documents.

• For officiant services, you are responsible for providing the correct marriage license details and complying with Alabama marriage laws.

• For fingerprinting services, you are responsible for ensuring prints are requested for lawful purposes only.

7. Limitations of Liability

• We are not responsible for damages, delays, or losses arising from incomplete, fraudulent, or unlawful documents.

• We do not guarantee acceptance of fingerprinting results by third-party agencies outside our control.

• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.

8. SMS/Email Communications

• By providing contact information, you consent to receive service-related texts and emails.

• You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

9. Minors

Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect or process data from minors.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our website or services to:

• Engage in illegal activity

• Misrepresent your identity or documents

• Upload harmful code or malware

• Attempt to interfere with our systems or operations

11. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if we suspect fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive behavior.

12. Governing Law

The laws of the State of Alabama govern these Terms. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Madison County, Alabama.
